Course Description

In today's digital age, we call, text, play, mail, track, navigate, take photos and video, socialize, hail transport, browse, and even date with our mobile devices. Our phone travels with us everywhere and it is also now a perfect authentication token. With Gartner research predicting 26 Billion connected devices in the world by 2020, what impact is that going to have on the security of your firm if everyone is logging in via mobile devices that are easily compromised?

Several different methods and protocols exist to implement authentication in mobile devices from a simple "push OK" to mobile PKI and biometrics. In this webinar, we will evaluate the impact that biometrics can have on the connected world focusing in particular on multi-factor authentication.

Biometrics & Identity in the Connected Accounting Firm:

1. Explore different mobile authentication options and their benefits

2. Identity the history of the username and password, the evolution and where we are going

3. Problems that can arise (fraud, social inclusion/exclusion)

4. BYOD policy requirements

5. How to implement advanced mobile authentication in your firm and common challenges within the accounting profession
